Sister Barbara Montague, IHM - School Principal
From the St. Cyril School News October 2008
Sister Barbara Montague, IHM,
has been Principal
at St. Cyril’s for six years. She has been in education for 40 years! (She
doesn’t look that old!) Her degrees include an M.A. in Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural
Education from Marywood University, and her administrative certificate is from
the Univ. of Dayton. She has been a principal for 23 years and taught for 17
years in grades 4-8. Sister Barbara is a “local girl” hailing from St. Joseph’s
in Collingdale and graduating from Archbishop. Prendergast High School. She
loves being a Sister and serving in education. She loves to see children grow
in self-confidence and be the best they can be. One of the most interesting
things she has done was teaching high school English in Lima, Peru, one summer.
However, she states, “Saint Cyril School will be one of the most memorable
experiences for all we have done to keep the school open!”
